Senior Management
Chris Boutwell, Senior Vice President
Mr. Boutwell formerly served First Ag Credit, FCS as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He joined the Association in 2004
working as the vice president of risk management. Prior to his employment with the Association, he worked as a Certified Public
Accountant with a local firm in Lubbock. He currently serves on the board and is actively involved with CASA, or Court
Appointed Special Advocates, of Lubbock.

Kenny S. Brown, Senior Vice President - Policy and Compliance
Mr. Brown primarily was Director of Internal Audit and Review. He has been with Capital Farm Credit since 2000 and has experience in lending and administrative operations with Heritage Land Bank, ACA and as a Commissioned Examiner with the Farm Credit Administration (FCA). Mr. Brown is a graduate of Louisiana State University and has 15 years of Farm Credit System experience and over 4 years of experience with FCA.

Patricia A. Gonzales, Senior Vice President - Accounting and Administration
Ms. Gonzales was CFO of Southwest Texas ACA until the merger with Capital Farm Credit. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Texas and a graduate of St. Edward’s University with a BBA in Accounting. She has 5 years public accounting experience and worked for the Farm Credit Bank of Texas for 12 years, culminating in the Controller position, before joining Southwest Texas in 1999. Mrs. Gonzales has 19 years of Farm Credit experience, and is chairperson of the District’s CFO roundtable.

Mark L. Hiler, Senior Vice President - Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Hiler, formerly Chief Operating Officer of Southwest Texas ACA, directs operations and marketing. Mr. Hiler was President of the FLBA of Uvalde prior to its merger into Southwest in 1996. He has 26 years of Farm Credit experience and holds BBA and master's degrees from Texas A&M University.

Mark Loveland, Senior Vice President
Mr. Loveland formerly served First Ag Credit as senior vice president and chief credit officer. Prior to his employment with the
Association, he was chief credit officer of First Texas Ag Credit, FLBA. He has also held several positions with the Bank including
director of credit operations, engineer/appraiser, mineral representative and loan officer. He has 25 years of service with the Farm
Credit System.

Ben R. Novosad, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Novosad was Chief Executive Officer of Capital Farm Credit prior to the merger and continues in that position. He became CEO of the FLBA of Bryan in September 1986. Since that time, he has guided the Association through several mergers and has overseen the successful transition of the organization from FLBA agent lender to a direct lender FLCA, then to the current structure, a multi-faceted $2.5 billion agricultural credit association. Mr. Novosad is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Agricultural Economics, and has 30 years experience with the Farm Credit System. On a national basis, he serves several Farm Credit Systemwide organizations, including the Presidents’ Planning Committee, the System Risk Management Workgroup, the Horizons Task Force, and the Farm Credit System Insurance Corporation Workgroup.

Eric C. Rothe, Executive Vice President - Lending
Mr. Rothe, previously CEO of Southwest Texas ACA, now oversees the credit functions for Capital Farm Credit. During his tenure as CEO of Southwest Texas ACA, a position in which he served since becoming CEO of the FLBA of Devine in February 1984, he led several mergers and transitioned the association from an FLBA to a $650 million ACA. He also served as President of Western FLBA of Marfa and as Assistant Manager of FLBA of Uvalde. He has 27 years of FCS experience and holds a master's degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University.

Glenn Trant, Senior Vice President - Operations
Mr. Trant previously served First Ag Credit, FCS as senior vice president of lending. Prior to his employment with the Association, he served as
manager of Franchise Finance for Pizza Hut, Inc. He also served as a branch manager for the Federal Land Bank of Bryan for 10
years. He has 18 years of service with the Farm Credit System.

Don VandeVanter, Senior Vice President - Finance
Mr. VandeVanter, Chief Financial Officer of Capital Farm Credit until it merged with Southwest Texas ADA, is in charge of pricing and capital management. Prior to joining Capital Farm Credit in 1999, he was the CFO for Texas AgFinance, FCS for eight years. Mr. VandeVanter began his Farm Credit career with the Farm Credit Bank of Texas in 1987, after working for 3 years in public accounting. He graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in accounting, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas and also serves as District representative on the Farm Credit System Accounting Standards Workgroup.

Roy A. West, Senior Vice President - Credit
Mr. West was Chief Credit Officer of Southwest Texas ACA from 1998 until it merged with Capital Farm Credit. As Senior Vice President-Credit, he is responsible for credit policies and standards. Mr. West has previously served as Director of Credit for the Farm Credit Bank of Texas and Vice President for Capital of Texas FLBA. Overall, he has 25 years FCS experience. His past experience includes loan and appraisal positions for the USDA and a local appraisal company. He graduated in 1979 from Southwest Texas State University with a B.A. in Agriculture.

Paul Aelvoet, Director
Mr. Aelvoet has ranched and farmed in Medina County for 27 years. He has been the 4-H club manager for over 20 years and is a past director of the Medina County Farm Bureau, Texas Limousin Association and the Medina County Fair. Mr. Aelvoet is also a
member of the Association’s Planning Committee and the Governance Committee.

Mr. Anderson
has been involved with the production of rice, milo, cattle and commercial agricultural fertilizer and chemical
sales. He presently farms rice, landlords and maintains real estate investments in Colorado and Wharton counties. He has been a
member since 1972, resides in Eagle Lake and serves on the Rice Medical Center board. He is actively involved in the Lions Club
and the local Methodist church.

Allen Arfsten, Director
Mr. Arfsten
is a farmer and rancher in San Saba, where he raises wheat and hay and runs stocker cattle on wheat and
pastureland. He is a member of the San Saba County Young Farmers, San Saba County Farm Bureau and is serving on the
County Crop committee. He serves as a deacon for First Baptist Church in San Saba.

Mr. Becton
owns and maintains farmland in Lubbock County. He is a former member of the Idalou School Board, the Idalou Coop
Gin board and has served for many years on the Lubbock County Soil and Water Conservation board. He has a bachelor’s

Mr. Carlisle
is a native of Mills County where he owns and operates Carlisle Land & Cattle Co. and C&C Feedlot located in
Mullin. He is a member of the Fox Water Crossing board. He has been a member of the Association since 1959.

Roy H. Carlson, Director
Mr. Carlson
is a farmer and rancher in Deaf Smith County as well as a shareholder and past vice president of Top of Texas
Gin Growers board. He is chairman of the Deaf Smith County Appraisal District review board, a member of First Methodist

Church in Hereford and a past member of the Property Rights Foundation. He has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from West
Texas A&M University. He also represents the Association by serving as vice chairman of the Stockholder Advisory Committee
for the District.

Mr. Carlson is a farmer from La Villa and has been engaged in farming for 38 years. Mr. Carlson raises cotton, corn, sugarcane and onions.

Keith Corzine, Director
Mr. Corzine resides in the Stamford community and has been a member of the Association since 1977. He is involved in farming
cotton, wheat and milo, as well as raising cattle in Haskell County. He serves as a member of the board of the Farmers Co-op Gin
of Stamford and is a former board member of the Tri-Area Livestock Association, the Farmers Union and the Sagerton Water
Supply Corporation. He is a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Sagerton.

Richard Counts, Director-Elected Director
Mr. Counts started serving as an outside director in February 2005. He retired as a CPA and audit partner with Arthur Andersen, LLP in June 1996. Mr. Counts has served as a financial consultant for various companies from 1996 through 2005. Mr.
Counts has served on the Association's Audit Committee since March 2005.

Mr. Franklin owns and operates farms in Lynn and Dawson counties. He is a member of First Baptist Church of O’Donnell
and is a former member of the O’Donnell School Board, Dawson County ASCS committee and the Dawson County Farm Bureau

Kelly Gaskins, Director
Mr. Gaskins lives and farms in the Knott community in Howard County. He received a master’s degree from Texas A&M
University. After managing a swine operation for two years, he returned home to farm in 1978 and became a member of the
Association in 1979. He is currently a member of the Howard County Junior Livestock board, the board president for the
Farmers Co-op Gin of Knott and the Knott Volunteer Fire Department chief. He is a member of Knott Church of Christ.

Mr. Grounds is a rancher and businessman in Houston County. He is owner of Town and Country Cleaning Service,

Mr. Harrington is a rancher from Colorado County. Mr. Harrington is retired from Tenneco Inc., where he was director of financial controls and assistant corporate controller. Mr. Harrington is Chairman of the Audit Committee and has been appointed by

Kenneth Hees, Director
Mr. Hees is a farmer and rancher from Travis County. Kenneth has been a Farm Credit Board Member for 20 years and
currently serves as Capital Farm Credit District Nominating Committee Representative and Alternate Stockholder Advisory
Committee Representative. He previously served as vice chairman of the Central Texas Production Credit Association, chairman of
the Heart of Texas Production Credit Association, and member of the Steering and Planning committees. Mr. Hees currently serves
as chairman for the Taylor Soil and Water Conservation District, member of the Church Council at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran
Church of Pflugerville, Texas Farm Bureau, Capital City A&M Club, the 12th Man Foundation, the Texas and Southwestern Cattle
Raisers Association, Independent Cattleman’s Association, Producer’s Cooperative of Bryan, American Maine-Anjou Association,
and American Simmental Association.

Dan Henard, Jr., Director
Mr. Henard has been a member of the Association since 1960. He resides in the Wellington community where he is involved
in farming cotton, peanuts and wheat, as well as raising livestock. He is secretary of the Collingsworth County Underground
Water District and serves as finance chairman of First United Methodist Church of Wellington. He formerly served as chairman
of the Salt Fork Soil & Water Conservation District and president of the Panhandle Association of Soil and Water Conservation
District boards. He has a bachelor’s degree in range science from Texas A&M University. He also represents the Association and
serves on the board for The Farm Credit Council.

F. Shelby Henke, Director
Mr. Henke is a farmer/rancher from Atascosa County and has been engaged in farming and ranching for 46 years. Mr. Henke also has managed Peggy-Fashing Rural Water Supply Corporation for the past 31 years and is a member and organist of Sacred
Heart Catholic Church in Campbellton. He chairs the annual fund raiser for the Campbellton Fire Department and Sacred Heart
Catholic Church. Mr. Henke also serves on the Stockholders’ Advisory Committee for the Farm Credit Bank of Texas.

Ms. Hudson serves the board as the financial expert. She resides in Dallas where she provides accounting services to several
businesses. She has over 20 years of experience in a variety of industries including internet hosting, consulting, real estate and
advertising. She began her career working in public accounting with Arthur Andersen. She serves on the board of Northway
Christian Church. She graduated from Texas Christian University with a BBA in accounting and is licensed as a Certified Public
Accountant.

David Hughes, Director
Mr. Hughes is a native of Lamesa where he previously owned and operated a fertilizer business. He currently resides in
Kingsland. He owns several farms in the West Texas area and two ranches in Llano County. He served as a board member for the
Texas Plant Food Institute and the National Fertilizer Solutions Association as well as the president for the Lamesa school board.

Gary Key, Director
Mr. Key has been a member of the Association since 1984. He resides in Spur, and he has owned and operated a farm and ranch
in Dickens and Kent counties for over 36 years. In addition to raising cattle, he farms cotton, wheat and milo. He served as
director and president of the Spur Farmers Co-op Gin board for 17 years. He has also served as the board chairman of the
Dickens County Tax Appraisal District. Currently, he serves as chairman of the Duck Creek NRCS board and is a committee
member of the Dickens County FSA committee. He is a member of First Baptist Church.

Kenton B. Kimball, Director
Mr. Kimball owns and manages a farm and ranch operation in Sherman County. He serves on the Stratford Hospital
board. He has served on the Stratford Independent School Board, Sherman County Economic Development board, Sherman
County Livestock Show board, Sherman County Library board, Sherman County Soil Conservation board and the Sherman
County Appraisal District board. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kansas State University.

Mr. Little is a farmer/rancher from Lavaca County, doing business in Galveston, Ft. Bend, Harris, Brazoria, Lavaca and Jackson counties. He also operates a custom farming business. Mr. Little serves on the board for the Lavaca Exposition Association and is president of the Hallettsville Junior Livestock Show.

Mr. Long farms and ranches in Collingsworth County. He is a former member of the Wellington State Bank board of
directors, the Wellington School Board and the Farmers Co-op Gin board. He is a member and deacon of First Baptist Church

John Malazzo, Director
John Malazzo is the owner and operator of John Malazzo Farms in Burleson County. He raises cotton, corn, milo, hay, and cattle.
He was a co-owner of the Caldwell Livestock Commission Co. until last year. Mr. Malazzo graduated with a B.S. in Agricultural
Economics from Texas A&M University. He was named the Region III Soil and Water Conservation Districts of Texas “Conservation Rancher of the Year” in 1996. Mr. Malazzo served as a director of Heart of Texas PCA through its merger with
Capital Farm Credit and is a past director of the Burleson County Fair Association, the Burleson County 4-H and FFA Commercial
Heifer Show and Sale, and the Burleson County Field Crops Committee. He currently serves as a director to the Producers Co-op
Association of Bryan, the Texas Cotton Growers Cooperative Association – Taylor Compress, the Post Oak Savannah Underground
Water Conservation District, and the Farm Service Agency – USDA Burleson County Committee. He is a member of the Burleson
County Beef and Forage Committee, and the Extension Program Council, and is a 4-H volunteer and a member of the Caldwell FFA
Booster Club.

Terry McAlister, Director
Mr. McAlister is a lifetime resident of Wichita County. He is part owner of McAlister Properties, Inc., a farming entity. He is
also a partner in McAlister Farms where he farms wheat and cotton, and he raises cattle in Wichita and Wilbarger counties. He is
a member of the Northern Rolling Plains Boll Weevil Eradication committee, board member of the Wichita County Farm Bureau
and board member of North Texas Rehab Center.

Larry McBee, Director
Mr. McBee is the managing partner in a family ranching operation in Val Verde, Kinney and Edwards counties and has been involved in agriculture for 37 years. Mr. McBee is serving on the NRCS board of the Devils River SWCD. Mr. McBee has also
served on the Texas A&M Agriculture Development Council and as a director of the Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers’ Association.

Harlan Metting, Director
Mr. Metting is a full time rancher. He has had a cow-calf operation for 45 years in DeWitt, Gonzales, and Goliad counties. He
has been a director of FLBA of South Texas for two years and Capital Farm Credit for the past seven years. Mr. Metting was chosen
the 2004 Outstanding Farmer-Rancher by the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce. Present affiliations include being a member of First
United Methodist Church of Yorktown, where he has served on the Pastor-Parish Relations Committee as trustee and on the
Nominating Committee. He is a member of the Gruenau Verein, Yorktown Volunteer Fire Department, Farm Bureau, Farmers
Union, R. Calf USA and Yorktown Athletic Booster Club

Larry Miller, Director
Mr. Miller has been a member of the Association since 1966. He is a lifetime resident of Baylor County, where he and his family
farm wheat, hay, milo and oats, as well as manage range pasture. He was employed by the NRCS for 30 years. He served on the
board of directors of FGS Corp Association, the Tri County Electric Co-op and the Farmers Cooperative Association. He
currently serves on various committees of the Baylor County Extension board and Baylor County Appraisal Office. He has a
bachelor’s degree in range management from Texas Tech University.

Steve Moore, Director
Mr. Moore has been a member of the Association since 2002. He resides in Roscoe, and he owns a farming operation in Scurry
County. He serves as a director for Rolling Plains Cotton Growers, as well as Scurry County Farm Bureau, Big County Electric
Co-op and the Central Rolling Plains Co-op Gin. He previously served as director for Pyco Industries and Scurry County FSA.
He is a member of First Baptist Church of Snyder.

Lance D. Morris, Director
Mr. Morris resides in the Crosbyton community and has been a member of the Association since 1974. He and his brother
are partners in a farming operation in Dickens, Floyd and Crosby counties. In addition to serving on the Crosby County Fuel
Association and Associated Cotton Growers boards, he serves as deacon and treasurer of First Baptist Church in Crosbyton. He
has also served on the county committee of the Farmer Home Administration, the board of directors of the South Plains
Association of Governments and the Crosby County Appraisal District. He served as mayor of Crosbyton from 1986 to 1996. He
has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas Tech University.

Phillip Munden, Director
Mr. Munden runs a cow-calf and stocker operation in Bosque County. Mr. Munden served on Farm Credit boards (both PCA and
FLBA) since 1990 and for Capital Farm Credit since the merger with Heart of Texas PCA. Mr. Munden previously served as the vice
chairman of the Association’s board and is currently serving as chairman of the Compensation Committee. He is a member of the
Bosque County Soil and Water Conservation District, chairman of the stewardship committee of State SWCD board and
committeeman for the Houston Livestock Show. He is also a member of Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and
chairman of the board of trustees of Memorial United Methodist Church.

Nolan Niehues, Director
Mr. Niehues has been a member of the Association since 1974. He resides in the Wall community and is involved in farming
operations in Tom Green and Glasscock counties. He served on the Wall Independent School Board for 12 years and was a
member of the St. Ambrose Parish Council for three years.

Mr. Nunley has been a rancher in Uvalde County for 34 years. Mr. Nunley serves as a board member of the First State Bank of Uvalde, Sabinal ISD and the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.

Gary L. Palousek, Director
Mr. Palousek is a self-employed farmer in Willacy County and has been raising cotton, milo and sugarcane for 36 years. Mr.
Palousek serves as a board member and immediate past president of the Willacy Co-op, is director and secretary/treasurer of Willacy
County Drainage District No. 2, is the immediate past chairman of the county committee of the USDA/Farm Service Agency, is a
member of the nominating committee and member advisory committee of Magic Valley Electric Co-operative, and serves on the
parish council of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Raymondville.

Danny Parker, Vice Chairman
Mr. Parker served proudly for three years in the U.S. Army and attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas. Mr. Parker
and his wife Barbara have farmed and ranched for 29 years in Uvalde and Zavala counties. He is currently serving on the Winter
Garden Spinach Board, Texas Onion Board, as Executive Director of the Gulf Compress in Corpus Christi, director of the Uvalde
County Farmers Coop, a member of the Uvalde County Extension program Council, the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers
Association and the Cattle Feeders Association. He and his family attend the First Baptist Church in Uvalde.

Ann H. Patrie, Director
Ms. Patrie serves as president/CEO of Shoe Box Tax Company, P.C., CFO of Janie Oil company, and executive producer with Ponderous Film Productions. She is also President of Patrie and Patrie Company, engaged in real estate and oil production. Ms.
Patrie is involved with placing her acreage into pharmaceutical agricultural growth.

John Perryman, Director
Mr. Perryman farms with his son Wes in Bell and McLennan counties. Their operation consists of growing cotton, corn, grain
sorghum and wheat. He is a member of Moody Leon United Methodist Church, where he is serves on the administrative board and is
a trustee. He also serves as a director of Elm Creek Water Supply Corporation.

Mr. Quirey is a self-employed farmer and rancher from Wharton County. He was previously employed with Tennessee Gas Pipeline until his retirement in 1986. Mr. Quirey is also a partner in Boettcher & Quirey, and Quirey Brothers.

Robert Rieck, Director
Mr. Rieck has been a member of the Association since 1978. He resides in Kimble County and is involved in sheep, goat and
cattle production, as well as maintaining a hunting operation. He serves as a director for the Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers
Association and formerly served as director of the Sonora Wool and Mohair Company and president of the Menard Independent
School Board. He is a past director and president of Menard County Game and Livestock Protective Association. He has a
bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Mr. Sample is a rancher and poultry producer from Gonzales County. He also serves as a director for the Gonzales County
Underground Water Conservation District. Mr. Sample is a life member of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition, where he serves as
a member of the calf scramble committee. He also serves on the finance committee of Smiley United Methodist Church.

Billy B. Savell, Director
Mr. Savell is a rancher in Crockett County. He has been ranching for 49 years. He is also a real estate broker. Mr. Savell is a member of the Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers’ Association, the Sonora Downtown Lions Club and the First Baptist Church of Sonora. Mr. Savell is serving his first year of a second three-year term on the Farm Credit Bank of Texas’ District Benefits
Administration Committee.

Stanley Schilling, Director
Mr. Schilling is a native of Live Oak County, where he resides and is an agribusinessman involved in ranching, farming, hunting
and real estate. He has served for 31 years as director of the Farm Credit System and served as chairman and vice chairman of South
Texas FLBA of Kenedy from 1980 to 2001. He is currently on the Capital Farm Credit Legislative Committee and the Capital Farm
Credit Steering Committee. Mr. Schilling has 26 years experience as a sales representative of Pioneer Hybrid International, a Dupont
Company. Locally, he has served on the Live Oak County Soil and Water Conservation District and Farm Service Agency
committees and is a member of the Texas Farm Bureau. He is the past president of the Texas Junior Meat Goat Show Circuit, South
Texas SWCD, Bee County Marketing Club and Bee County Coop. In 2003, he was chosen to receive Texas County Agricultural
Agents Association Man of the Year award. He has served on the Governor’s Committee, Make Texas Number One in Agriculture.
Mr. Schilling and his family are members of the First United Methodist Church, where he is a member of the United Methodist
Men’s organization.

Roy Allen Schmidt, Director
Mr. Schmidt is a rancher with operations in Washington County. Mr. Schmidt is a retired systems technician for Southwestern
Bell Telephone Company of Houston, where he was employed for 32 years. He serves as a member of the board of the Burton
Independent School District and is a director of the Property Owners Association of Washington County. Mr. Schmidt has served as
an auctioneer since 1988, and is a certified antique appraiser and the owner and operator of LaBahia Antiques.

Mr. Schumann has been a member of the Association since 1997. He farms wheat, corn, milo and soybeans in Ochiltree
County. He also runs stocker cattle, sheep and a cow/calf operation. He served as a member of the Hansford County Farm Bureau
board. He graduated from West Texas A&M University with a degree in agricultural business. He is a member of the Church of
Christ.

Lloyd Shoppa, Director-Elected Director
Mr. Shoppa started serving as an outside director in February 2005. Mr.
Shoppa is retired president of Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc., and currently owns five John Deere dealerships in South Texas. He is
former president of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford (HEB) Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce and has also served as president of the
HEB School Board and is currently on the advisory board of the Prosperity Bank in East Bernard.

Billly Ray Smith, Director
Mr. Smith has been a member of the Association since 1962. He is a native of Wharton County where he and his brother
operate as Smith Farms. He also manages a cow/calf operation in Jackson County. He has previously served as a director of the
area Rice Marketing Association and was a Ganado Independent School District board member for nine years. He is also a
member of the Jackson County Cattle Raiser’s Association and Jackson County Farm Bureau.

Wayne Stroud, Director
Mr. Stroud is a rancher in Wilson County and has been ranching for 46 years.. He raises beef cattle and race-bred quarter horses.
Mr. Stroud is part owner and operator of Stroud Racing Stable, a facility for breaking and training race horses and barrel horses. Mr.
Stroud retired as Wilson County Commissioner after serving 12 years. He is now serving his 30th year on the San Antonio Stock
Show and Rodeo calf scramble committee. He also served on the Wilson County 4H and FFA Stock Show Committee for 10 years.
Mr. Stroud is a member of the Texas Farm Bureau and Independent Cattlemen’s Association. He served as a director of South Texas
Federal Land Bank of Kenedy from 1980 to 2001 when they merged with Capital Farm Credit.

Dean Turner, Director
Mr. Turner resides in the Matador community and has been a member of the Association since 1974. He farms and manages
cattle operations in Motley, Floyd and Dickens counties. He is a former member of the FSA county committee.

Keith Vandivere, Director
Mr. Vandivere has been a member of the Association since 1983 and currently resides in Lubbock. He owns a farming
operation in Terry County. He served as a director and chairman for Covenant Health System and its predecessor Lubbock
Methodist Hospital, as well as for Terry County Farm Bureau, Terry County ASCS and Plains Cotton Growers Association. He
also served as president of the Brownfield School Board and was a founding board member and is former chairman of the Terry
County Appraisal District. He is active in numerous charitable and civic organizations and is a member of First Methodist Church
of Lubbock.

Mark W. Vanham, Director-Elected Director
Mr. Vanham started serving as an outside director in 1990. He has farmed and ranched in Uvalde County raising cattle for
over 30 years. Mr. Vanham is also a real estate broker.

Mike Vickers, Director
Dr. Vickers rlives in Brooks County and has ranching operations in Brooks, Hidalgo, and Jim Hogg counties. He is a
practicing veterinarian and president of Las Palmas Veterinary Hospital, Inc. He has been ranching for 34 years and has operated his
veterinary hospital for 32 years. He works with youth in the FFA and 4-H and is an avid hunter. Dr. Vickers received his B.S. from
Texas A&M in 1972 and his D.V.M. from Texas A&M in 1973. He is an FFA “Loan Star Farmer,” commissioner on the Texas
Animal Health Commission, and a consultant to the Texas Beef Quality Producers. He authored and instituted legislation that
removed biological waste issues from TNRCC (TCEQ) and put TAHC in charge of these issues. He also works with the U.S.
Military on anthrax research.

Ed Walker, Director
Mr. Walker is a lifetime resident of the Wintergarden area and serves as general manager of Wintergarden Groundwater Conservation District as well as general manager of Southwest Texas Rain Enhancement Association. Mr. Walker is also a member of Dimmit County Farm Bureau, Carrizo Springs Noon Lions Club and is the treasurer of Dimmit County Jr. Livestock Association. During his tenure as an incumbent director, he has completed all registered training programs as required.

Gene Walker, Director
Mr. Walker grew up in the ranching business and has ranching operations in Webb, Zapata, Jeff Davis, Culberson and Presidio counties. He also has various other business interests in Laredo and is an honorary director of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.

James L. Wedel, Director
Mr. Wedel is a farmer who presently farms 5,000 acres in Bailey and Parmer counties. He has been a member of the
Association since 1989, resides in Muleshoe and currently serves on the boards of the Texas Corn Producers, Corn Producers
Association of Texas, Sunland, Inc. and Texas Organic Cotton Marketing Cooperative. He has a bachelor’s of science degree in
agriculture economics from Texas Tech University.

James D. Wieck, Director
Mr. Wieck resides in Hartley County. He is vice president and a stockholder of Six Wix, Inc., a family corporation that
manages investments and land in Randall, Armstrong and Deaf Smith counties. He previously served on the Hartley County
Appraisal District and the Hartley School Board. He is employed by Natural Prairie Dairy Farm, Hartley.

Wayne Wilson, Director
Mr. Wilson operates a diversified stocker operation in Brazos and Robertson counties. Mr. Wilson also owns and operates
Wilson Insurance Agency. He serves as a director of the Brazos Valley Groundwater Conservation District, a director of
Groundwater Management Area 12 and a director of the State Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group. He also has served as
secretary of the Brazos County Youth Commercial Heifer Show, president of Brazos County Farm Bureau, chairman of the Brazos
County Beef and Forage Committee, treasurer of the Brazos County Extension Executive Board and is on the Texas Farm Bureau
State Young Farmer and Rancher Committee. Mr. Wilson is a member of Crossroads Community Church, Texas Cattle Feeders,
Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and Texas Farm Bureau.

Jim Wright, Director
Mr. Wright has been a member of the Association since 1993. He raises cattle and Spanish goats and farms some small grain in
Menard and McCulloch counties. He is a graduate of Angelo State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. He is a
former member of the bi-county committee for the Farmers Home Administration and the Appraisal Review Board for Menard
County. He currently serves as secretary/treasurer of the Menard Volunteer Fire Department and is an elder of Grace Lutheran
Church of Menard. He is a fifth-term committee member for the Menard County Farm Service Agency.
